Robert “Bob” Neill, vice chairman of the board of directors of the $533 million Christian Community Credit Union in San Dimas, Calif., has died after a long battle with cancer, the credit union said.

Neill is a former chair and executive committee member who has served on the board for more than 16 years. The San Francisco native also served for 16 years as senior pastor at Christ First Baptist Church of Covina, Calif., until 2008 and as director of camping ministries for the American Baptist Churches of the Pacific Southwest from 1984 to 1992.
