The Illinois Credit Union League said it expects a group ofnearly 90 people representing 48 credit unions to attend its SmallAsset Size Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday at the league'soffices in Naperville, Ill.
|Keynote speaker will be William Myers, director of Small Credit Union Initiatives forthe NCUA. State and NCUA economic development specialists andexaminers also will address the group on Tuesday.
|Wednesday will feature sessions on smart phone apps, complianceresources, lending and investments, the league said.
|The SAS conferences have been held since 2002 and this year'sturnout is near capacity, the league said. It said257 of thestate's 365 credit unions have $25 million in assets or less.
|“We strive to be a focal point to help our small credit unions succeed and it seems thisconference helps to address their concerns and needs year afteryear,” said ICUL President/CEO Dan Plauda.
