The Illinois Credit Union League said it expects a group ofnearly 90 people representing 48 credit unions to attend its SmallAsset Size Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday at the league'soffices in Naperville, Ill.

Keynote speaker will be William Myers, director of Small Credit Union Initiatives forthe NCUA. State and NCUA economic development specialists andexaminers also will address the group on Tuesday.

Wednesday will feature sessions on smart phone apps, complianceresources, lending and investments, the league said.

The SAS conferences have been held since 2002 and this year'sturnout is near capacity, the league said. It said257 of thestate's 365 credit unions have $25 million in assets or less.

“We strive to be a focal point to help our small credit unions succeed and it seems thisconference helps to address their concerns and needs year afteryear,” said ICUL President/CEO Dan Plauda.
