Lacamas Community Credit Union of Camas, Wash., said it will beremodeling its 192nd Avenue Branch to create a more interactiveenvironment.

The $176 million credit union said that the new interior designwill generate a more open setting for members to communicate withstaff and learn about the credit union's new technologicalofferings, such as mobile banking, remote deposit capture, ATM upgrades andlive chat.

“It is an integral part of the Lacamas mission to be convenientto our members. We know people are busy today and need moreflexibility for their banking services,” President/CEO KathleenRomane said in a statement. “We are excited to enhance the Lacamasexperience with the remodel of our centrally located192nd Avenue branch and implementation of other newtechnologies.”

The construction is set to complete in late August, but thebranch will remain open for the majority of the remodeling. In thefinal two weeks of the project, Lacamas said the branch's lobbywill be closed and that service will be available through the ATMor drive-thru window.

Lacamas has six branches and more than 17,000 members.
