The $155 million Advance Financial Federal Credit Union ofSchererville, Ind., said it gained 86 new checking accounts andincreased its member base by 36 people following its three-monthmarketing campaign.
AFFCU said the promotion for new checking accounts ran fromApril through June. Both new and existing members wereentered in a raffle to win a 42-inch LG HDTV and were given a $15gift card to Best Buy for opening a checking account.
The average account balance for the 86 checking accounts wasmore than $700, AFFCU said in a statement.
