The 72-year old Ohio Edison/Penn Power Credit Union hasestablished a new brand identity–Edison Financial Credit Union.Exterior signs have been changed and now contain the new name andlogo at the credit union's two locations in downtown Youngstown andin the Austintown Plaza.

The Youngstown, Ohio-based credit union was originallyestablished to provide checking, savings and loan services solely to the employees of Ohio Edison and PennPower. CEO David Beckhorn said that over the years, stateregulations have changed to allow credit unions to serve a muchwider cross-section of the community.

“Even though we've long served the larger community, the newbrand name helps communicate that fact. Products and servicesoffered by the credit union are available to all families andbusinesses in the tri-county area,” he said. The credit union hasassets of $45.5 million.
