The $46 million Ohio Edison/Penn Power Credit Union in Youngstown, Ohio, has changed its name to Edison Financial Credit Union.

The 7,400-member, two-branch credit union said the name change reflects the 72-year-old credit union's growth from serving employees of Ohio Edison and Penn Power to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Ohio's Mahoning, Trumbull or Columbiana counties.

"Even though we've long served the larger community, the new brand name helps communicate that fact. Products and services offered by the credit union are available to all families and businesses in the tri-county area," said CEO David Beckhorn.
