Dover Federal Credit Union, Dover, Del., announced that it has hired Constance Hernandez Sanders as marketing assistant. Sanders holds an associate of arts degree from Pensacola State College and a bachelor's degree in studio art and graphic design from Florida State University. She is also studying for a second bachelor's degree in business management. Sanders' responsibilities in her new position will include researching marketing trends within the industry and recommending marketing strategies to help ensure that the credit union's outreach to members remains relevant and productive. She will also be responsible for coordinating participation in community events and producing credit union newsletters.
GFA Federal Credit Union, Gardner Mass., announce the promotion of David C. Bojarczuk to senior vice president/director of corporate finance and chief financial officer. Bojarczuk joined GFA in 2007 as a vice president and was promoted to vice president of finance and treasurer in 2009. With over 25 years of experience in finance, he has a background in accountancy, asset-liability management and consulting. His experience includes financial institutions, publically held and private companies and public accounting. Bojarczuk will continue to oversee the credit union's accounting and finance areas, including asset-liability management and credit union investments. Bojarczuk graduated with honors earning a degree in accountancy from Bentley College in Waltham, Mass.

Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. announced that four consultants from its HVFCU Financial Services division have been recognized for their success. Lynda Beisner, Matt Giorgi, Ilske Veringa, and Cathy West were recognized as top financial advisers and named to the LPL Financial Director's Club. This distinction is based on an annual production ranking of the approximately 12,800 registered advisers nationwide who are supported by LPL Financial LLC, an independent broker-dealer. All five advisers are experienced in retirement planning, estate planning, insurance and wealth management for both individuals and businesses. They are also certified by the New York State Insurance Department as approved long–term care and life insurance professionals. Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union, Lowell, Mass. recently elected Susan Green to its board of directors. Green is the treasurer and chief financial officer of Lowell General Hospital in Lowell. Previously she practiced as a certified public accountant at Mullen and Co. and Deloitte & Touche. Green earned her graduate degree in taxation from Bentley College and her undergraduate degree in accounting from Salem State College.

Alaska USA, Anchorage, Alaska, announced promotions in its California division. Marci Aguayo has been promoted to vice president, branch administration. She previously held the position of regional vice president for the High Desert region. In her new role, she manages day-to-day operations of Alaska USA's California branch network. Aguayo brings more than 20 years of credit union experience, including nearly three years with Alaska USA. Mendy Daugherty has been promoted to vice president, operations center. She previously managed Alaska USA's Member Service Center in California. She currently oversees critical operations and support staff for Alaska USA's distributed operations and member service departments. Daugherty has more than thirty years of experience with credit unions in the High Desert, and joined Alaska USA in 2009.
Mid Cities Credit Union, Compton, Calif. honored Board Treasurer Roy Brooks 40-plus years of service with a commissioned portrait that will hang in the lobby of the main branch in Compton. The award was presented to Brooks by Board Chairperson Vera Roberts at the credit union's annual meeting last month. Roberts spoke of the importance of volunteerism and cited Brooks as an exemplary member who has gone above and beyond in service to Mid Cities Credit Union.
OnPoint Community Credit Union, Portland, Ore, announced the promotions of Veronica Ervin to vice president/compliance director; Michele DeBuhr to vice president/consumer credit administration; and Greg Smit to vice president/internal audit manager. Ervin has been with OnPoint for 13 years and most recently was the vice president/controller. Ervin has more than 27 years of financial services experience. She holds a BS in business administration/accounting and is a current MBA student at Portland State University. DeBuhr has more than 16 years of experience at OnPoint and was most recently the vice president/organization effectiveness. DeBuhr holds a BA from Evergreen State College and MBA from George Fox University. Previously, DeBuhr has worked as an assistant branch manager, training and development manager, and project manager for database conversion at OnPoint. Smit has 13 years of experience at OnPoint and has held branch manager, lending services manager and real estate services manager positions. Smit has 23 years of financial services experience and is a graduate of Northwest Intermediate Banking School and a third-year student at Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.
SCE FCU, Irwindale, Calif., has named Gina Corcoran as its new director of loan production. Corcoran will oversee central lending, real estate, direct and indirect dealer relationships. Corcoran, who joined the credit union as a manager of loan production in 2007, oversaw all of SCE FCU's loan production and insurance products purchased by members. Before joining SCE FCU, Corcoran spent 19 years in the credit union industry, where she ran a successful loan program that produced more than $5 million per-month of indirect lending with automotive dealerships. Additionally, Corcoran held several supervisory positions as an indirect loan buyer and a consumer loan underwriter, and was an internal auditor with S&Ls.
