NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz recently announced theappointment of Martha J. Ninichuk as deputy director of theOffice of Small Credit Union Initiatives.

“Martha's selection as OSCUI's deputy director solidifies anoutstanding leadership team,” said Matz. “Her mix of small creditunion management and broad credit union field work is ideal forthis hands-on position. Martha's wide range of experiences, fromrunning a small credit union in Michigan, to consulting for twostate leagues, to international credit union development projects,will also bring fresh perspectives to OSCUI's work.”

Ninichuk joins NCUA from her position as director of cooperativeinitiatives for the Michigan Credit Union League, where she and her team helpedcredit unions provide financial products and services tounderserved and low-income populations. In working for the Marylandand DC Credit Union Association as vice president of consulting andcredit union services, Ninichuk  teamed with small creditunions to help them address governance issues and productdevelopment.
