Volunteers from Congressional Federal Credit Union, joined byU.S. Rep. David Price (D-N.C.), were on hand Wednesday to greetWorld War II veterans arriving from the Raleigh, Durham and ChapelHill area in North Carolina and from Tennessee to view the WorldWar II Memorial at the National Mall. The Honor Flight Network is anational nonprofit effort dedicated to bringing the veterans toWashington, D.C., at no cost to them.

“It is a privilege to join in welcoming Triangle-areaWorld War II veterans to our nation's capital. Our World WarII veterans deserve to be recognized for their courage and theirsacrifice. The aptly named 'honor flights' are ensuring thateach and every one has the opportunity to see the national memorialdedicated to their service,” Price said.
