Four regional chapters of South Carolina credit unions haveselected their respective candidates for the inaugural South Carolina Credit Union League Palmetto ProtégéCompetition.

The event was designed to recognize promising young professionals. The protégé selected will serve asstatewide leader of the SCCUL Young Professional Initiative and apeer advocate for credit unions.

The four finalists include Patricia Bivens of CPM FCU,representing the Charleston Area Chapter; James Montgomery of SAFEFCU, representing the Columbia Chapter; Ernest Felkel of SPC CU,representing the Pee Dee Chapter; and Katie Matthews of SecuredAdvantage FCU, representing the Piedmont Chapter.

Finalists will vie for selection as the South Carolina PalmettoProtégé on Friday, April 20 at the league's annual meeting inMyrtle Beach.
