Maryland & District of Columbia Credit UnionAssociation, Columbia, Md., recently announced the hiringof Bridget Crawley as the director of marketingand communications. In this position, Crawley will oversee allmarketing, branding strategies and media relations for theassociation. She is responsible for strengthening credibility,enhancing visibility and promoting the value of credit unions.While new to the association, Crawley is no newcomer to the worldof marketing and public relations. She has 10 years of publicrelations, marketing and special event experience, along with abackground in television and film production. Bridget holds an MBAin marketing from the Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in massmedia from Clark Atlanta University. During the course of hercareer, she has worked at companies such as the Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention, D&R International, Fox News Channel,O'Keefe & Co. and most recently United Way of CentralMaryland.

Pawtucket Credit Union, Pawtucket,R.I.,  announced the promotions of KimDenny, Richard Hall and KristinRojas. Denny has been promoted to vice president/employeedevelopment and training. Her overall responsibilities includeoverseeing all aspects of employee training, including knowledge ofand adherence to federal regulatory requirements as well asprocedural development. She also leads PCU's employee recognitionand member services programs. Kim has been with the credit unionfor over 10 years and previously served as AVP/employee developmentand training. Hall has been promoted to assistant vicepresident/data services. His overall responsibilities includemanaging and updating the credit union's core banking platform andall electronic channels including internet banking, commercialonline banking, mobile banking and ATMs. Hall has been with thecredit union for over 12 years and previously served as dataservices manager. Rojas has been promoted to assistant vicepresident/financial literacy and community outreach. Her overallresponsibilities include overseeing the credit union's statewidefinancial literacy program as well as managing charitable donationsand sponsorships.  She holds a B.A. from the University ofRhode Island and is a CCD teacher for St. Luke's Parish.

CEFCU, Peoria, Ill., announced the retirementof Sandy Andrews. Andrews has been an employee ofCEFCU for 34 years, serving as the CU's chief operatingofficer  since October 2005.  Andrews' retirementis effective March 1.  Matt Mamer wasnamed the new chief operating officer; Doug Hanleyhas been promoted to vice president of business services;Dianna Hunter and Rick Bentleyassume new management positions; Tracy Denning,Emmy Hangartner and KerstinMcGowan have been promoted to new management positions;and, Debbie Mead, downtown member center manager,will retire.  Mamer, the current vice president ofbusiness services, has been promoted to chief operations officerand will oversee the CU's daily operations and memberservice.  His responsibilities include CEFCU's member centers, contact center, marketing, CEFCUfinancial services  and communityrelations. Hanley's new responsibilities include directingdaily operations of the business lending, business development andbusiness credit operations departments. Hunter's newresponsibilities include identifying and developing businessopportunities and overseeing office operations. Bentley's newresponsibilities include identifying and developing businessopportunities and overseeing office operations. Denning's newresponsibilities include overseeing the administration andmaintenance of CEFCU's information technology infrastructure, aswell as directing network staff.

First Community Federal Credit Union,Plainwell, Mich., announced the addition of SharrieYingling as the branch manager for the Plainwelllocation.  Yingling comes to First Community FCU with 15years of experience in consumer and commercial lending. She has anNMLS lending certification and knowledge of the lending processesutilized in both financial institutions and automobile financecompanies.

Summit Credit Union, Madison, Wis., celebrated Linda Rauls' 20th year with thefinancial. Rauls, a card services specialist, joined Summit in 1991as a teller for the Sun Prairie branch.  She has also heldpositions in accounting and operations support both at thefinancial's Sun Prairie office and headquarters inMadison. Rauls is a graduate of LaFollette High School andholds an associate degree in accounting from Madison Area TechnicalCollege.

Veridian Credit Union, Waterloo, Iowa,announced that William J. Kalianov has been hiredto the position of manager of commercial lending. Kalianov waspreviously employed at Liberty Bank as the senior vice president.He has a bachelor's degree in finance and a master's degree fromthe University of Northern Iowa.

Local Government Federal Credit Union, Raleigh,N.C., announced the appointment of David Dear toits board of directors. Dear, recently retired as the ClevelandCounty manager, was appointed to fill the seat left vacant by theretirement of Director Emeritus Jack Scoville. Dear, who resides inShelby, N.C., worked for Cleveland County for 34 years, the lasteight as county manager. He is credited with bringing industry andjobs to the area despite a struggling economy. He has been an LGFCUmember since 1988, serving on the volunteer advisory council since2009. He is also one of the nominees the board selected forappointment for the 2012-15 term. This election will take place atthe credit union's annual meeting on April 27.
