Dale Taratuta has been promoted to president/CEO of the $77million Georgia Heritage FCU in Savannah, Ga.

Taratuta had been chief financial officer since joining the8,000-member credit union in February 2010.

Taratuta has 30 years of experience at financial institutions,including 17 in management and eight at the executive level, theGeorgia Heritage board said.

He had been vice president of finance at two credit unionsin Michiganand has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Western MichiganUniversity and a master's degree in finance from Wayne StateUniversity, his board said.

Georgia Heritage has two offices and is open to membership toanyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Chatham,Effingham or Bryan counties.
