Parents at the San Jose, Calif., credit union will now be ableto enjoy many of their baby's firsts with the launch of the “Babiesin the Workplace” program.

Effective March 1, staffers at the $346 million credit unionwill be allowed to bring their babies to work.

According to Alliance CU, beyond the obvious baby bonding benefits, theprogram has been designed as a way to help alleviate the cost ofchildcare for the first several months while also reducing staffshortages and temporary staffing during pregnancy andchildcare-related leaves of absences.
