To help credit unions prepare for any potential changes that maycome from the NCUA's proposed CUSO rule revisions, NAFCU will hosta March 7 webcast.

Last July, the NCUA approved a proposal that would amend current rules pertaining to CUSOs andrequire, among other things, that CUSOs file financial reportsdirectly with the agency as well as any appropriate statesupervisory authority.

“This webcast will tell credit unions what to expect from thisproposed rule, as well as help CUSOs and their credit union ownersunderstand and prepare for an NCUA exam of the CUSO,” said NAFCUPresident/CEO Fred Becker.

Among the topics to be discussed are the proposed CUSOregulation and anticipated outcome, CUSO regulatory compliancebasics currently in place and how to prepare for NCUA examinationswith regard to CUSOs, including what CUSOs and credit unionsobtaining services from a CUSO need to know.
