Congressional Federal Credit Union announced on Tuesday that 162 members of Congress, including four members of the House leadership, 27 senators, 135 representatives and Washington, D.C., Mayor Vincent D. Gray have agreed to serve as honorary race chairs for the annual Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run 5K Run-Walk.
This year's event is scheduled for April 1 and again will raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network.
"The response from the 162 members of Congress and Mayor Gray is outstanding and very helpful to the collaborative efforts of credit unions to raise funds for hospitalized children," said Charles Mallon Jr., president/CEO of the Washington-based, $705 million Congressional FCU.
