Since 2007, Wisconsin credit unions have increased small business lending by more than 51%.

According to the Wisconsin Credit Union League, credit unions in the state have grown member business loans from $1.5 billion to $2.3 billion over the last four years.

The REAL Solutions Scorecard for Wisconsin Credit Unions, a report by the league, found that banks increased business lending by 4.4% during the same period.

Still, at $30.9 billion, banks still eclipse credit unions in business loans. That amount is up from $29.6 billion in 2007.
