Chloe Walters of Raymond, N.H., was one of 10 winners chosenfrom among the more than 100 entries in the Children's DrawingContest held recently by the $710 million Northeast Credit Union inPortsmouth, N.H. As part of their lessons on the importance ofsaving, the children were asked to focus on things for which theywere thankful. For Chloe, it was “the world and Veterans.” Otherkids chose clean pants, yarn, tacos, being born on a grandmother'sbirthday and “trees because they help me breathe.” Each entry wasrewarded with a $5 deposit into a MyFunds savings account and anactivity book that teaches financial literacy.
