Chloe Walters of Raymond, N.H., was one of 10 winners chosen from among the more than 100 entries in the Children's Drawing Contest held recently by the $710 million Northeast Credit Union in Portsmouth, N.H. As part of their lessons on the importance of saving, the children were asked to focus on things for which they were thankful. For Chloe, it was “the world and Veterans.” Other kids chose clean pants, yarn, tacos, being born on a grandmother's birthday and “trees because they help me breathe.” Each entry was rewarded with a $5 deposit into a MyFunds savings account and an activity book that teaches financial literacy.
