There's a new leader at Commonwealth Credit Union.

Karen Harbin, former executive vice president, has been tappedas the Frankfort, Ky.-based credit union's president/CEO. Harbinsucceeds CEO Gary Wallace, who retired Dec. 31 after 35 years ofservice.

With nearly 30 years of financial experience, Harbin has alsoserved as vice president of finance and chief accountant at the$909 million credit union. Her responsibilities have ranged fromoversight of the credit union's financial performance, portfolioand investment strategies, to information technology, security anddisaster recovery, strategic planning and forecasting, and humanresources.
