There were 35 college football bowl games this season but onlyone sponsored by a credit union – the San Diego County CreditUnion Poinsettia Bowl.
|SDCCU has sponsored the game since its 2005 debut. The SDCCUPoinsettia Bowl also is the first to establish a charitybeneficiary, with $1 of every ticket going to the San DiegoChapter of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
|That totaled $25,000 this year, and since the effort began,more than 44 wishes have been granted to local children withdangerous illnesses.
