The $200 million Momentum Credit Union in Hamilton, Ontario, hasdeployed the new Acumen core banking solution from Fiserv Inc., thecompany and credit union said.

The new platform replaced two core processing solutions that hadbeen in place since the incorporation of a second credit union lastDecember, they said. Streamlined processing and scalability werecited in the selection.

“We simultaneously completed two system conversions with littleimpact to our 11,000-plus members – the implementation of Acumenwas a success for our credit union,” said Malcolm Stoffman, thecredit union's CEO.

Momentum also implemented other Fiserv solutions during theprocess, including audio response and accounting products.

Acumen was rolled out in late 2009 as a new, open platform based on Internettechnologies. It has now been sold to about 25 Canadian andAmerican creditunions.
