Adding more value to membership, Workers' Credit Union has teamed with PlanPrescribers Inc. to help seniors and their caregivers determine which Medicare Advantage insurance plan will be the right fit through Ehealth.

The interactive comparison/education tool is offered to members free on the Fitchburg, Mass.-based credit union's website. According to Doug Petersen, president/CEO of the $800 million credit union, users simply type in basic information, including the prescription drugs they are taking, and the comparison program will match them to different plan options. He added that the timing couldn't be better since the Medicare open enrollment period runs through Dec. 7.

“What we really like about the service is that it provides unbiased advice on what Medicare Advantage or Prescription Drug Plans offer, using the best of both worlds, an excellent website, as well as live customer service representatives,” said Petersen.  “It's very simple to use. All the plan options and premiums are displayed in an easy-to-read format, based on where you live and your specific situation.”
