The $917 million Allegacy Federal Credit Union strategicallyopened four of its busiest branches today. In addition to walk-ins,locals made appointments earlier this week to meet with memberservice agents on hand today to help them make the switch.

The $232 million Members Credit Union also opted to open itsmain headquarters for Bank Transfer Day and while there weren'tlines out the door, those who walked in opened accounts and saidthey were pleased the branch was open.

Both credit unions reported record number of new accountopenings throughout the month of October and November has startedout strong as well.
