The $442 million Insight Credit Union in Orlando, Fla., hasreleased a free mobile application that allows its 53,000 membersto access their accounts using any Internet-enabled device.

The platform was provided by FI-MOBILE of Austin, Texas, and the functionality was developedin-house by the credit union's staff.

Features include balances, histories, transfers and branchlocators and the app is available through the Apple App Store andthe Android Market, Insight said.

“Our members have been requesting a mobile app, and we areexcited to respond to their needs and improve their access to thecredit union. We are looking forward to continued developmentof the mobile app as we add even more features including Bill Payerand remote deposit capture later this year,” said George R. Davis,Insight's president/CEO.

The 75-year-old Insight CU has 10 locations and is open for membership toanyone who lives or works in Orange, Seminole, Lake, Brevard,Volusia, Sumter, Putnam, Citrus or Marion counties.
