The $1.7 billion Texas Dow Employees Credit Union said it has nearly doubled its mobile banking adoption since the launch of iPhone, iPad and Android apps in April.
Nearly 10,000 of the credit union's 142,000 members are mobile subscribers, compared with about 5,400 before the launch, and mobile transaction volume has grown by 30%, TDECU said.
“Members in all 50 states and in 16 different countries are actively using the apps. We are thrilled with our members' response – it's more proof that we are providing the right services to meet our members' needs,” said Brad Clutter, online banking product manager at TDECU in Lake Jackson, Texas.
The apps offer the same functionality as the credit union's online banking platform, TDECU said, and were produced by FI-MOBILE LLC, an Austin-based startup.
