The Senate is going to try to vote on a modified continuingresolution today that would fund the government beyond the end ofthe fiscal year on Friday.

The House passed a measure last week but the Senate rejected itbecause of a dispute over the funding of the Federal EmergencyManagement Agency. The Senate is going to try to pass anamended version of the bill that restores some of the funding butthe Democrats may not be able to get the 60 votes needed to end aGOP filibuster.
