Umpires, team captains and managers meet to talk things over at the gold medal game at MCU Park on Coney Island during the baseball portion of the World Police & Fire Games. The event drew 15,000 athletes and was held in New York City for the first time in commemoration of 9/11. As fate would have it, the MCU-sponsored NYPD and FDNY teams ended up in the championship match, won by the firefighters by a score of 7-2. The $1.6 billion Municipal Credit Union was a key sponsor of this year’s games.
