For its multiple projects designed to raise credit unionawareness, Invest in America has been named the 2012 Herb WegnerMemorial Award for Outstanding Program.
“Rarely has the awards and nominating committee collectivescored a program so high,” said Bob Schumacher, chairman of theNational Credit Union Foundation awards and recognition committee.“When you look at the numbers that support Invest in America'sefforts, the outcome is so overwhelming, it's hard to grasp orcomprehend all its immensity.”
Invest in America was first started in late 2008 by CUcorp, awholly owned subsidiary of the Michigan Credit Union League, whichlater became CU Solutions Group, a national marketing company whichcurrently manages the program.
