There's a new president/CEO at Lion's Share Federal CreditUnion.

Mark Curran, former senior vice president of businessdevelopment at item processing CUSO PalmettoCooperative Services in Columbia, S.C., has been tapped to leadthe Salisbury, N.C.-based credit union.

Prior to joining the CUSO, the credit union veteran with morethan 15 years of branch operations experience at Coastal FederalCredit Union in Raleigh, N.C., also served as a senior accountmanager with the CUNA Mutual Group.

Curran is a graduate of the Southeast CUNA Management School,where he was elected by his peers as the president of the class of1991. He also holds the Certified Credit Union Executivedesignation. Curran earned his bachelor's degree from RadfordUniversity in Virginia.

Curran succeeds John McGrail, who has become president of the Carolinas CreditUnion Foundation.

Lion's Share FCU has more than $30 million in assets and about10,500 members and serves employees and their family members ofDelhaize America, including Food Lion and Reid's grocerystores.
