Members at two Illinois credit unions can now turn to theircredit unions to shop online for vehicles.

The $730 million Motorola Employees Credit Union and the $550million Consumers Credit Union have signed on with CarQuotes Corp.,a CU automotive marketing and technology company.

Through CarQuotes.com, members will be able to research new and usedvehicles, read reviews, compare features and receive free vehiclepricing reports, according to the Deerfield, Ill.-basedcompany.

John Fiore, CEO of MECU in Schaumburg, Ill., said it wasimportant to offer members “a better way to find the new or usedcar that is right for them and then save time and money on thepurchase.”

CarQuote's 32 years of experience of assisting CUs withincreasing loan opportunities aided in Consumers CU's decision toform the partnership, said Hal Coxon, vice president of sales andmarketing at the Waukegan, Ill.-based cooperative.
