For the second consecutive year, the University of Virginia Community Credit Union has received the U.S. Small Business Administration's top credit union lender honor for the Richmond, Va., district.

The $510 million credit union was recognized for obtaining the highest loan volume by dollar amount, according to the SBA.

At the end of the agency's fiscal year 2010, University of Virginia Community CU had more than $20 million in outstanding business loans. The Charlottesville, Va.-based cooperative said it also increased its business members by 69%.
