The former president/CEO of the $24 million Columbia-Greene FCU in Hudson, N.Y., has been banned by the NCUA from ever participating again in the affairs of a federally insured financial institution.

Amy Shufelt-Cure had been convicted of stealing $29,160 from the 4,700-member credit union.

She was fired and arrested in December 2009 after the losses were discovered.
