Public Service Credit Union has literally brought banking to itsmembers in suburban Detroit.

The $134 million Romulus, Mich., credit union said its newbranch on wheels marks the first mobile CO-OP Services sharedbranch in the nation.

The truck’s onboard ATM and full service branch can serve bothits members and those of other credit unions that are part of theCO-OP Services shared branch network.

In addition to having the ATM and teller window open at itsdebut on Friday, PSCU handed out flags, beach balls, popcorn and gift cards tohelp credit union members get a jump on the holiday weekend.

Plans for the mobile branch include festivals, events, schoolsand driving the branch to businesses the 24,000-member PSCU haspartnered with on their paydays for employees to have easy accessto financial services.
