Intuit Financial Services has added an Android app to its mobile banking product lineup that already includes iPhone and iPad support as well as Web-based and SMS text banking, the Mountain View, Calif., company said.

The Android functionality includes account balances and transaction history, funds transfer, bill pay and ATM and branch locators using the phone's GPS capabilities, the company said. It said the app is available at the Android Market.

"If financial institutions are going to remain relevant in the future, they will have to offer insights and services when and where customers need them," said CeCe Morken, president of IFS and an Intuit vice president.
