The NCUA board is scheduled hold a special meeting at 2 p.m. EDT next Wednesday, May 4, to consider "supervisory activities,'' the agency announced Wednesday.

As with all such meetings, the agency's agenda didn't elaborate on what will be discussed, but those meetings are often followed by an announcement of an action to deal with problems faced by a troubled credit union.

It will be the board's fourth special meeting this year. Its next regularly scheduled meeting is on May 19.
