CUNA President Bill Cheney and Gerber Federal Credit Union President/CEO John Buckley are scheduled to discuss the impact of the financial overhaul bill on small financial institutions at a House Financial Services subcommittee hearing next Wednesday.

The session will focus on issues such as the new Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection and the proposed rule regulating debit interchange fees. It is being conducted by the House Financial Services Committee's Subcommittee on Financial Institutions.

Buckley, whose credit union is located in Fremont, Mich., is testifying on behalf of NAFCU. There will also be witnesses representing banks.
