Andrews Federal Credit Union, Suitland, Md., welcomed Michael Bartelle as vice president of overseas operations. Bartelle served in the United States Army for 30 years and retired as command sergeant major for Allied Command Operations, SHAPE/NATO, Belgium. Prior to joining the Andrews Federal executive team, Bartelle served as a senior management analyst with Lockheed Martin Corp.
Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, Broomall, Penn., appointed four new assistant vice presidents. Denice Marburger, Granite Run Mall branch manager, began her career at the credit union in 1996, holding several branch management roles. Michael Mastrangelo, Springfield branch manager, joined in 2008 after holding various management roles in the financial services industry. Bryan Messick, Media branch manager, began working for FMFCU in 2002, holding management trainee and management associate positions. Lastly, Frank Sieck, Broomall branch manager, began working for the credit union in 2006, and was in its management associate program, after holding loan officer and branch manager positions with other financial institutions.

Mountain America Credit Union, Salt Lake City, announced the hiring of Gene Erickson to the position of chief operating officer of Mountain America Financial Services LLC, a wholly owned CUSO of Mountain America Credit Union. He is responsible for overseeing the company's life, health, home, auto and commercial insurance agencies; evaluating new business opportunities; managing relationships with current business partners; and developing strategic plans for the CUSO.
OSU Federal Credit Union, Monmouth, Ore., announced that Molly McDermond has been promoted from assistant branch manager to branch manager at its Monmouth-Independence location. McDermond started with OSU Federal in 1999 and assumed the assistant branch manager position at Monmouth when the location opened in September 2003. Under her leadership, the branch was named the large business of the year at the 2010 Monmouth-Independence Chamber's Distinguished Service Awards banquet in May.

Consumers Credit Union, Kalamazoo, Mich., announced that Mackenzie Snyder is now a certified credit union financial counselor for the Michigan Credit Union League. To earn this certification, Snyder participated in FiCEP, a financial counseling certification program offered by CUNA. Snyder currently serves as Consumers Credit Union's Latino market research specialist, where her primary role is to serve and expand the credit union's growing Latino market.
Guardian Credit Union, West Milwaukee, Wis., announced that Dionisia Gonzalez accepted a position as a mortgage account executive at its Waukesha branch. She will be working with new and current members to assist them with their mortgage needs. Gonzalez is bilingual in English and Spanish and has nine years of experience in all aspects of the mortgage lending industry.
Indiana Members Credit Union, Indianapolis, celebrated the 25th anniversary of service of its chief executive officer, Ron Collier. Collier was presented with an award at IMCU's annual employee seminar on Oct. 11, 2010. He joined the credit union in 1985 when he was hired on as the training director. In 1992, he was promoted to vice president of planning and development, and continued to advance until 2003 when he became chief executive officer. Under Collier's leadership, IMCU celebrated 50 years in business and attained $1 billion in assets in 2006.
UW Credit Union, Madison, Wis., announced that Mike Long, its chief credit officer, has been appointed to a position on the Federal Reserve's Consumer Advisory Council. He was nominated by CUNA, and is one of 10 new appointees for 2011. The council members serve three-year terms, and advise the Fed on its responsibilities under the Consumer Credit Protection Act and on other matters in the area of consumer financial services. In addition to his executive role at UW Credit Union, Long is also executive vice president and chief operating officer of CU Campus Resources LLC, a student loan company owned by UW Credit Union.
SOUTH
DATCU Credit Union, Denton, Texas, announced the promotion of Lee Albright to the position of human resource generalist. Lee joined DATCU in June 2008 as a human resources assistant. She earned a certificate from Bish Mathis Institute?School of Business in 1984. She has over 20 years of experience in office administration, with the last six years in the human resources field. In 2009, Lee was recognized as DATCU's support staff employee of the year.
Neches Federal Credit Union, Port Neches, Texas, announced the promotions of Lisa Rowland and Jason Duplant. Lisa Rowland was promoted to vice president of lending. She has been part of the credit union team for 11 years and has been with the credit union industry for over 30 years. Jason Duplant has been promoted to vice president of marketing. He has been with Neches FCU for over seven years and with the credit union industry for over nine years. Both Rowland and Duplant are 2010 graduates of the Southwest CUNA Management School.
Smart Financial Credit Union, Houston, announced the hiring of Frank Dragna as its new investment program manager. Dragna brings 13 years of finance and investment experience to the $450 million credit union. In his new role, Dragna's primary responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day operations for the investment division of Smart Financial Resources, a wholly owned subsidiary of the credit union. Dragna previously served as regional vice president for Zahorik Financial Services, managing partner/chief communications officer for the Mutual Fund Store and marketing manager for the Variable Annuity Life Insurance Co.
