Tablets Will Reach 82 Million US Consumers By 2015

Credit unions offering mobile banking should probably be aware that analysts such as Forrester Research’s Sarah Rotman Epps predict sharp growth among iPad users and those buying the coming wave of competitors. And while smartphone apps and browsers alike may work on tablets, that won’t be enough, Epps says. “As the tablet market grows, product strategists must nurture both the app ecosystem and the browser environment–both will be key channels for delivering content experiences on tablets,” she says. That is, if you want to reach the 82 million U.S. consumers Epps predicts will be using tablets in 2015.
