For the sixth year in a row, the Texas Credit Union League has made it to the top 20 lobby groups in the state on a "Power List" ranking of 1,200 eligible trade groups. The list was posted over the weekend by Capitol Inside, an Austin website firm. The league was the only financial services group making it on the list.

Using a combination of Texas Ethics Commission records, research, institutional knowledge and conversations with lawmakers, consultants and others within the state capitol community, the group ranks "the relative lobby power" of different groups each January.

"Our team has consistently focused on delivering results for credit unions where and when it counts," said Dick Ensweiler, league president/CEO. "We've got a tight knit group of professionals with the passion it takes to lead this kind of effort, developing a strategy that keeps credit unions' interests foremost in the minds of elected officials."
