Former CUNA President/CEO Dan Mica has launched a consulting firm that will provide advice on government relations, credit union operations and related topics but he's not planning on being a registered lobbyist.

Mica said he would be doing some work for CUNA and some credit unions, which he declined to identify.

In an interview with Credit Union Times, Mica declined to say what issues he'd be working on for CUNA but when asked if he would be helping on the interchange issue he said "that is a very important issue."
