Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), who remains in critical condition after an assassination attempt on Saturday, has been helped by credit union political action committees in all three of her difficult campaigns.
CUNA's Credit Union Legislative Action Council contributed a total of $11,500 during those three campaigns including $2,000 for last year's race.
NAFCU's National Association of Federal Credit Unions' Political Action Committee, gave her 2006 campaign $1,000.
