The Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Regulationannounced Thursday it has selected John J. Kolhoff as the newdeputy commissioner of the Credit Union Division succeeding veteranRoger Little.


"John has a wealth of experience, a broad knowledge base andgreat familiarity with Michigan credit unions," said OFIRCommissioner Ken Ross. "I am confident that he will continue thelong tradition that Michigan has had as a leader in progressivecredit union regulation."


Little, a past chairman of the National Association of StateCredit Union Supervisors, started with the agency in 1984 andretired Jan. 1.


Kolhoff has been with OFIR since 1994 and has worked in suchareas as depository analysis, information technology and on therisk-based examination process. He became assistant director of thedivision in 2003.
