FIS is now using INETCO Insight's transaction monitoring software to spot problems in the Florida company's ATM and POS processing operations, the companies said.

The software reduces the risk of downtime for FIS, which processes more than one billion ATM and POS transactions a year. The INETCO Insight solution will be used to provide a single view into network latency, authorization denials, out-of-service POS and ATMs and suspicious transactions for more than 840 financial institutions served by FIS, the company said.

"The EFT Network and Operations teams now can monitor a customer's entire end-to-end FIS solution, including network performance and the host processing applications' performance, and isolate issues affecting any transaction in a matter of seconds," said Neil Cook, director of EFT technology at FIS in Jacksonville, Fla.
