The Senate Banking Committee plans to hold a hearing on the state of the credit union industry next Tuesday afternoon at which NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz will be the sole witness, according to two sources.

The hearing will deal with the industry's overall health, including the recent problems of the corporate credit unions and the agency's efforts to resolve them.

Though Matz has been part of a panel of witnesses on several occasions, this will be her first appearance as the sole witness during her chairmanship.
