Nominations are now being accepted for the Pete Crear LifetimeAchievement award by the African-American Credit UnionCoalition.

The award is presented annually to recognize a credit unionprofessional or volunteer whose career best embodies the AACUC'smission to increase the strength of the global credit unionmovement, according to the group. The recipient will also havedemonstrated support for the credit union philosophy of “peoplehelping people,” organized and/or provided significant assistanceto credit unions in need and has constructively impacted theinfrastructure, growth, legislative, regulatory, image and/orservice delivery capacity of the credit union movement.

Nominees must submit a letter of acceptance, completednomination questionnaire, support materials such as newsletterarticles, press clippings, marketing brochures that support thenomination and one 3-inch by X 5-inch color photograph for use inaward publicity.

The deadline is Jan. 10, 2011. Award recipients will be notifiedin writing by Feb. 1, 2011.
