The African-American Credit Union Coalition is accepting nominations for its Pete Crear Lifetime Achievement award.

The award is presented annually to recognize a credit union professional or volunteer whose career best embodies the AACUC's mission to increase the strength of the global credit union movement, according to the group.

The recipient will also have demonstrated support for the credit union philosophy of "people helping people," organized and/or provided significant assistance to credit unions in need and constructively impacted the infrastructure, growth, legislative, regulatory, image and/or service delivery capacity of the credit union movement. Launched in 2004 by the AACUC, the award is named for credit union veteran Pete Crear, president/CEO of World Council of Credit Unions.
