EasCorp said five more credit unions have committed to using remote deposit capture services from its Vertifi Software subsidiary.

They are the $169 million Altier CU of Tempe, Ariz., $2.3 billion Eastman CU of Kingsport, Tenn., $2.2 billion First Tech CU of Beaverton, Ore., $1 billion Rockland FCU of Rockland, Mass., and $115 million Prince George's Community FCU of Upper Marlboro, Md., EasCorp said.

First Tech plans to offer the mobile version of the DeposZip service–available as downloadable applications for iPhone and Android devices–to its members while the other four CUs are offering desktop RDC versions, the Burlington, Mass., corporate said.

There are currently 61 credit unions using the 3-year-old service, including 14 billion-dollar institutions, EasCorp said. More than $620 million in deposits have been handled, including from desktop scanners and mobile phone images, the corporate said.
