S. Denise Hendricks, who has worked on equal opportunity issues for the Defense Department, has been named the NCUA's Director of Equal Opportunity.

She will administer the agency's programs aimed at reducing the underrepresentation of women, minorities and persons with disabilities. In addition, the office is responsible for reviewing and taking action on Equal Employment Opportunity complaints and developing programs to remedy problems in these areas.

Hendricks was most recently the deputy assistant director of the Equal Employment Opportunity Programs Division of the Department of Defense's Washington Headquarters Services.
