The Western states' corporate realignment task force, lead by the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues, has agreed upon three needs: a credit union system solution, aggregation and a universal solution for credit unions of all sizes.

In an Oct. 5 letter, league interim President/CEO Dave Chatfield said the task force will work toward solutions that reflect those needs.

When speaking about finding a solution within the credit union system, Chatfield wrote, "Credit union leaders have not forgotten, and hope not to repeat, the disruption that occurred for dozens of credit unions when Bank of America acquired Security Pacific Bank and Security Pacific's profitable credit union service division was dissolved."
