Hanscom Federal Credit Union, Hansom, Mass., announced that Kevin Reagan has been named assistant vice president of mortgage operations. Reagan, who has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry, has been with the credit union for almost 10 years, starting in 2001 as a senior mortgage underwriter. Before his promotion to assistant vice president, he held the position of mortgage pipeline manager. In his new role, Reagan will continue to manage the mortgage pipeline to ensure quality service and timely processing. He will also train, direct and manage loan processing and underwriting staff, perform quality underwriting reviews on all mortgage loans to ensure product and compliance conformance and maintain knowledge of product guidelines, investor requirements and regulatory compliance.

Bittner joined The Golden 1 this year and has almost a decade of experience working in the financial services industry. He has held numerous positions, including teller and branch operations manager.
Oregonians Credit Union, Milwaukie, Ore., has named Char Shinn vice president of business and community development. Shinn brings over 25 years experience in the credit union industry, most recently as the CEO of Northwest Resource Federal Credit Union in downtown Portland. Prior to that, Shinn has held positions with First Tech Credit Union and the Credit Union Association of Oregon. Shinn holds a degree in finance from University of Oregon and an MBA from University of Phoenix. As vice president, Shinn will oversee the credit union's commitment to responsible, community focused business practices, and will be active in business, community and market development activities.

Consumers Credit Union, Kalamazoo, Mich., announced the hiring of Sean Mansell as collections manager and of Lauren Rogers as risk manager. Mansell, a Western Michigan University graduate with a BA in music, recently joined the Consumers staff with more than 15 years of mortgage and managerial experience. His main focus is to alleviate the risk of the credit union while providing superior member service. Mansell will oversee and guide the Consumers collection department to preserve Consumers' assets. Mansell works closely with his staff to manage delinquent and charged-off accounts, collection of delinquent loan payments and recovery of collateral. Rogers has managed operations, compliance, internal audit and fraud activities for 18 banking centers in Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and Midland, Mich. In her newly created position, Rogers is responsible for consumers' risk management and aids in the compliance with federal and state regulations. As a part of the compliance piece, she manages the internal audit and compliance departments. Her main goal is to ensure systems are developed and maintained to identify, measure, monitor and control risks in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines regarding consumers' organizational compliance, fraud controls and disaster recovery, credit quality and information security.
Indiana Members Credit Union, Indianapolis, has appointed Taya Butler as branch supervisor at the St. Frances branch in Beech Grove, Kelly Mitchell as a branch manager in Center Grove, Mike Wright as a branch manager in Avon, and Samantha Carpenter as campus branch manager at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
Kent Credit Union, Kent, Ohio, announced the hiring of Kevin D. Moyer as member relationship officer. He will have the primary responsibility of educating current as well as prospective members on the advantages and products/services that Kent Credit Union has to offer. Moyer brings several years of financial services experience, previously working for two nationally recognized financial firms. Mr. Moyer, alongside President/CEO Joseph Crawfis, looks to utilize several strategies that will assist the membership in utilizing the services that Kent Credit Union provides.
Credit Union Service Corporation, Lakewood, Colo., has appointed CU Service Network President/CEO Douglas T. Burke to the CUSC board of directors. Prior to Burke's assuming the CEO role in July 2005, he operated in a chief operating officer capacity for CU Service Network, Inc., since the company's incorporation in March 1992.
Royal Credit Union, Edina, Minn., has named Meg Chiodo as its business development coordinator. Meg will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with area businesses to promote RCU and its services as well as being active in community services and events and providing financial education on behalf of RCU. Meg comes to RCU with 20 years of experience working with REALTORS in the Twin Cities Metro area.

Local Government Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, N.C., announced the addition of 15 new advisory council members to 10 of its 28 councils across the state. The new members are Walter Meads, Brian Matthews, Britt Vinson, Randy Page, Zach Trogdon, Sally DeFosse, Chuck Early, Jr., Fred Featherstone, Vickie Brock, Craig Cupil, David Breedlove, Mike Vesely, Alyssa Flores, James McKinnie, Jr., and Katrina Tatum. LGFCU has also appointed Noe'l Walker to its Youth Advisory Council, which assists the credit union in the development of a new generation of products and services for children, teens and young adults.
